Abstract

In this piece of work we investigate:

1) the development of the asymmetry antero posterior and transversal of both hemi maxilars from the first dentition to the mixed one.

2) the correlation between the asymmetry antero posterior and transversal.

3) the correlation between the asymmetry of both temporary upper hemi maxilars, the direction of the germs 16 and 26 and the future position of both molars 16 and 26 in the bone after they erupt.

It is a study of applied science not experimental, observational, prospective, descriptive and quantitative type.

For this piece of work they were taken registers from casts and rx from 16 patients of the fyle from the clinic of Prevention and Orthopedics IUCEDDU.

The measurements were made on plaster casts of both temporary hemimaxilars of the patient by 2 experts calibrated with a third observer. 3 experts observed individually in ortopantography the position and direction of the eruptive channel of 16 and 26 in each case.

In a second phase 3 experts make the measurements of the casts in mixed dentition for each patient from the same sample and it is observed the position of 16 and 26 in the dental arch once they are erupted, and the evolution of the symmetry / asymmetry of the upper maxilar.
