Abstract

The planning in orthognatic surgery is a key for the achievement of good functional and aesthetics results. This requires a systematic process of evaluation
of clinical and imaging parameters which lead us to determinate de specific needs of our patient1,2. Traditionally de surgical movements wished for the
bones bases were previously simulated by means of the surgery of the casts in the articulator. This method presents some limitations such us, the incapacity
of revealing the real positions assumed by the bony basis in the planned movements. With the evolution scientific technological observed
in the last years, a new method was created with the perspective of changing the paradigm of the planning in orthognatic surgeries: the virtual surgery planning. In the following article we will try to expose the planning clinical virtual protocol taken on by our working team for the dento facials dismorfosis illustrating it by a clinical case.
