Syndrome of Class lll, its diagnosis and treatment before the age of 6

The syndrome of Class lll is a disgnatia which has the characterisitc of presenting a differential growth between
the upper and the power jaws, in favor of the latter, establishing a disturbance in the patient’s physognomy and the orofacial function.
Clinically the syndrome of Class lll is presented with structural and etiopathogenic characteristics which can differ. Its ethiology is hereditary and environmental. The etiopathogenic factors perform on the different chraneofacials biotypes, conditioning the growth proceses enabling a variety of dysimorphia of plain or severe complexity. The characteristics of this syndrome, can be detected since birth. The early treatment is recommended due to the possibility, before the age of 6, in primary dentition, the possibility of the rehabilitation of the masticatory system without consequences. In the beggening of the first stage of the mixed dentition it is also possible the rehabilitation. In this article it is presented a clinical case in which it was used as a therapy Raymond splint,, the Functional Regulator RFlll and modified direct plates of Planas. (1)
