The problem in obtaining room in the dental archs for the correct tridimensional alignment (ADT Anibal Alonso) of the permanent teeth has been the leiv motiv of the
speciality in orthopedic and orthodontics since its begginings. Promotion of the growth, expansion, distalation and dental extractions have been as the principal strategies in the
treatment of the crowding. This article exposes our criteria about the use of extractions as a mean to solve the crowding in early ages, children still growing, based on our clinical experience.
