Abstract

  • This article analyzes the possibilities offered by clinical and paraclinical examinations to three-dimensionally identify the characteristics of a dento-maxillofacial anomaly at early ages. This examination also serves as a roadmap for diagnosis and treatment planning. At a time when imaging bears the sole responsibility for three-dimensional diagnosis, it is beneficial to be able to access it through clinical morphological and functional studies in all three spatial planes, especially in younger patients whom we cannot overexpose to sophisticated radiological studies. We perform the examination at different levels of the general somatic organization, including the craniofacial region, and finally in the area of the masticatory system.
