Abstract

The importance of an early holistic treatment.

In this article it will be studied the interrelationship between the postural attitude, the craneo facial structure balance throughout 3 treatments in children with primary dentition selected among our casuistic in our Clinic of Prevention and Orthopedic maxilo facial IUCEDDU.

It can be considered that the process of neurophsyco movement (DNSM) development starts in the intrauterine life (I.U), J. Claude Talmant in his investigations about fetal ventilation in the palatal gaps, shown by ecodoppler studies movements tongue-lip, swallowing of amniotic fluid, hand-mouth and changes in the posture of the fetus and its relation with the posture of the mandible (1). This shows the grade of earlyness of the maturation in the oro facial functions and its relation with the postural changes I.U.

Then in extra uterine life (E.U) the baby and its heritance and congenit background the first primary vital functions are started such as breathing, breastfeeding, the kinetic processes of the basilar skull, the progressive postural balances and the motor abilities which start training and specializing following the development claims.

More than the 30% of the borned babies by natural delivery present craneo facial assymetries by birth. Multiple pregnancies, problems in the fetal position, as well as the perinatal maneuvers to make the low delivery easier and the loss of sensitivity wich alters the outbid when we are in front of epidural anesthesia, could be arising this percentage of babies with craneofacial assymmetries . Studies show that 5 out of 7 babies recover their symmetry in their first months of life, while 2 out of 7 ( which is a low percentage) do not do it. (2).

It is frequent that this children reach the pre school age without diagnosis and observe in them that coexist alterations im the postural attitude, craneo facial structures and dento maxilar. In the Clinic of Prevention and Orthopedic IUCEDDU we use the early maxilar orthopedic approach (3-8 years old) which has been showing to be a valid option to steer the growth between normal parameters and balance without compensations or relapse.

This constitutes an holistic preventive approach of the growth and balance in the first childhood, to which the maxilo facial orthopedics contributes by means of the basis diagnosis and its tools of early treatment.
